Lincoln plans to establish pension review subcommittee

LINCOLN - At the request of Town Administrator T. Joseph Almond, the Town Council will establish a subcommittee to review the local pension plan.

The Council discussed the idea at its work session Monday night after receiving a written request from Almond last month.

He wrote, "Due to the overlapping issues of public safety, finance, and ordinance committees, I would ask the council to consider the creation of a special sub-committee to hear proposals and testimony in this matter."

Subcommittee members would look into all things pensions, Almond said, including investments, changes, participants and legislative measures.

Find out who would serve on the subcommittee, and Almond's reasoning behind wanting it formed, by reading the E-paper edition.
