Good Friday Walk for Hunger

Good Friday Walk for Hunger

Watch members of local congregations gather to walk to the Rhode Island State House for the annual Good Friday Walk for Hunger.

They held posters, rosaries, crosses and flags as they walked four miles from St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church in North Providence to the Rhode Island State House in Providence on Friday, March 29. It was the 35th annual Good Friday Walk for Hunger that brought so many participants to the streets to raise awareness and money in an ongoing effort to stamp out homelessness and hunger in Rhode Island. Parishioners from North Providence, Johnson, Lincoln and Woonsocket walked together through neighborhoods that house many families needing aid throughout the year.
