Women's Wilderness Weekend is May 3-5

WEST GREENWICH - The Women's Wilderness Weekend of Rhode Island retreat is scheduled for May 3-5, at the W. Alton Jones Campus of the University of Rhode Island.

The weekend will offer a wide variety of classes such as, hikes, finding your voice; meditative gardening; aqua ecology/ponding; photography; mixed media collage; clogging; canoeing; challenge course; gardening tips; spring door basket; card making; journey to bliss - yoga, dance and meditation; jams, jellies & canning; and a beading workshop.

The service project will be the Elizabeth Buffum Chace Center in Warwick. Each participant is encouraged to bring an item from their wish list, including snacks, household supplies, and gift cards. Private services, such as massage, reflexology, tarot or intuitive readings and facials, are available from certified practitioners for a fee. On Saturday, a raffle will be held to raise funds for the scholarship program. Saturday evening's entertainment will be Aubrey Atwater.

The cost for the weekend is $209, which includes all meals, lodging and workshops. A $10 discount is available if your registration is postmarked by April 19. Scholarships are available on a limited basis.
