Warwick man arrested in connection with Woonsocket homicide

WOONSOCKET – A Warwick man has been arrested in connection with the death of a 57-year-old Woonsocket woman who was found by police in her apartment this week.

Brian Audette, 43, of 307 Elm St., Warwick is being charged with first degree murder in the death of Donna Pike.

According to reports, Pike's landlord had asked police to check on the tenant in her home at 79 Rathbun St. Apt. 3. Around 7:30 p.m. on Monday, April 8, officers found Pike dead. They later announced that the incident would be investigated as a homicide.

Audette was arrested and scheduled to be arraigned in District Court on April 11.

New England State Police Information Network; The Rhode Island Fusion Center, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives; the Rhode Island State Police Computer Crimes Unit; Warwick Police Department; and the Rhode Island Attorney Generals Office reportedly assisted the Woonsocket Police Department in the investigation.
