Town's street sign makeover is halfway done

ORTH PROVIDENCE - A long-term project to replace the town's old green and white street signs with shiny new blue and gold ones is about halfway complete, according to Mayor Charles Lombardi.

Though the first half of the project has taken nearly two years, said the mayor, he expects the remainder of the green signs to be replaced "within the next year."

"We're trying to get them done as quickly as possible," he said.
