NORTH PROVIDENCE - Think it's generally safe to assume that just about everyone these days is at least making a show of recycling?

In North Providence schools, where recycling bins were once common, the only containers you'll find nowadays are trash bins, as the more environmentally-conscious mode of disposal has fallen by the wayside.

But according to North Providence School Supt. Melinda Smith, an active recycling program will back up and running at all town schools by the start of the 2013-2014 school year.
