Local cheerleaders make Pats squad

Keep an eye out for local faces on the sidelines of Gillette Stadium this year, as veteran cheerleaders from Cumberland and Lincoln return for another year of rooting for "the number one team in the NFL."

That's how 22-year-old Jodi Ricci, a Lincoln native, describes the New England Patriots, a team she looks forward to supporting for a third consecutive season.

The sentiments are shared with teammates LisaMarie Ianuzzi, 23, and Stephanie Sanchez, 23, who both moved to Cumberland from New Jersey and New York, respectively, after making the team.

Though they did not grow up in New England, the Cumberland transplants said they had dreams of cheering for the Patriots.
