Town lists Currier Park for $249,000

McKee hopes to trade recreation for commercial activity

CUMBERLAND - The town is actively pursuing a buyer for its Currier Park recreation lot opposite Town Hall on Broad Street.

Thomas McNulty, who is handling other real estate for the town, is listing the 1.3-acre lot at $249,000.

He's had some nibbles, says Mayor Daniel McKee, but no firm offers.

McNulty's listing on the online commercial properties site called Loopnet suggests that while it's zoned for open space use, town leaders would consider rezoning it for commercial uses, although approval of the Town Council would be required.
