New charges against Pawtucket man accused of burning his wife

PAWTUCKET - Danilo Cabrera, the man who allegedly burned his wife all over her body with a skillet, is now facing charges of assault with a dangerous weapon, intent to murder, and kidnapping, according to a report by Amanda Milkovitz and The Providence Journal.

The new charges came after the victim claimed that Cabrera restrained her with duct tape before carrying out his alleged assault. The attacker could now spend the rest of his life in prison.

Cabrera, 42, is accused of burning his wife's breasts, groin, thighs and stomach as she lay bound on a bed in their Benefit Street apartment. A report provided by the Pawtucket Police Department states that officers found the skillet with "burnt human skin" stuck to the bottom of it. Cabrera, who also allegedly tried to strangle his wife, is being held without bail.
