Pawtucket Police seek information on double stabbing

PAWTUCKET - Officers from the Pawtucket Police Department are seeking any available information related to the June 6 stabbing a man and woman on Memorial Drive.

On June 6, at approximately 2:30 p.m., police were called to the area of Memorial Drive in response to a call reporting two injured individuals. Police arrived and found a male and a female, both of 21 Memorial Drive, with their hands bound. Gabriel Hernandez, 36, and Olga Mada, 59, had both been stabbed, but their injuries were not considered life threatening.

Hernandez and Mada told officers that a dark skinned male, wearing a mask and dark clothing, entered their apartment and demanded money. The suspect then started to tie the hands of the victims. When Hernandez and Mada attempted to resist, the suspect stabbed them. The suspect escaped with a small amount of money. The victims were able to get out of the house and summon assistance after the assailant had left.
