Summer camp starts next week at Camp Meehan

NORTH PROVIDENCE - The North Providence Recreation Department will hold its first summer camp program at the new Camp Meehan property off Douglas Avenue starting July 8.

Camp will run Monday through Friday each week, July 8 to Aug. 16. There will be no outdoor activities on rainy days, and no camp or programs on Aug. 12 in recognition of Victory Day. Summer day camp is $325 for residents, $500 for non-residents. A two-week session is $125 for residents and $200 for non-residents.

Only parents and legal guardians are allowed to register children for summer programs. All children must be registered on registration cards that are kept at the activity site and the recreation office.

All fees must be in the form of a check or money order, made payable to the town of North Providence. Cash, debit and credit cards are not accepted. There will be no refunds given and proof of residency is required.
