Blackstone Millville Regional names new school district leadership

BLACKSTONE – The Blackstone Millville Regional School District has named Kirsten Esposito-Baldini as the new assistant superintendent, and has also announced that Perry Davis will serve as the interim superintendent, replacing Kimberly Shaver-Hood. Shaver-Hood recently resigned from the leadership role to take the position of superintendent for Wareham, Mass. schools.

Davis, who is expected to assume the role on Aug. 1, served as superintendent in the Dover/Sherborn Regional School District, as well as King Philip Regional. He is currently providing consulting services through Teachers 21, with a focus on coaching and mentoring new superintendents in the Commonwealth. Davis will hold the job through the 2013/2014 school year.

According to BMRDSC spokesperson Michael J. Buckley, the position of assistant superintendent was re-established this year after an analysis of the district's leadership requirements.

Esposito-Balboni comes to BMRSD from the Brookline, Mass. public schools where she served as the assistant superintendent for student services.
