Kudos to Little League volunteers

Kudos to Little League volunteers

I am writing this letter on behalf of the many children and families who participate in the North Smithfield Little League organization. NSLL is an awesome organization run by so many dedicated parents. These parents donate their time to be coaches, assistants coaches, scorekeepers, to even manning the snack bar. But most importantly, they donate their time to teach these young children what it means to be a part of a team and to realize that "together everyone achieves more!"

To conclude the great season, NSLL hosts a Trophy Family Fun Day at Pacheco Park. This day included several jumpy houses, a delicious barbecue and a trophy to all who participated. It is a great way to celebrate the season and just have a lot of good old-fashioned fun as a baseball community. Of course this day also involved a lot of volunteers. Volunteers were needed to set-up/clean-up the day, to cook the lunch and to make sure the event went off without a hitch...which it did!

So in closing, on behalf of my son Owen, his dad Glenn who was his assistant coach, and all of the other grateful baseball players and their supportive families, a big "thank you" to all the volunteers that make NSLL the successful organization that it is!
