PAWTUCKET - The second Arts Marketplace Pawtucket will take place on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 7-8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Pawtucket Armory Arts Center, 172 Exchange St. in downtown Pawtucket.

The fine arts and American-made crafts show and sale features the work of more than 50 artists from across the region. They will display their work in individual booths, with categories including art and sculpture, jewelry, wearables, and accessories.

Special events happening during the two-day event are The Ink Monkeys - Steam Roller Printmaking, which will take place outside the Armory from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. Performing from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and 2 to 4 p.m., will be The Rossonians, with Rhode Island's own Mary Ann Rossoni. Performing Saturday at 2:30 p.m. will be Project 401 Hip Hop/Break Dancers, and on Sunday from noon to 4 p.m., The Gray Divas will play and sing. The Stay Tuned Duo will also perform from noon to 3 p.m.

This year, Arts Marketplace Pawtucket will team up with XOS - Exchange Street Open Studios, with more than 50 artists participating in their studios at five local mill buildings near the Armory.

Both events are part of the month-long celebration of the Pawtucket Arts Festival, with its long history celebrating the arts and traditions in the community.

Arts Marketplace Pawtucket is a juried show with a mission to meet high standards of technical and artistic excellence and to present the best of contemporary fine art and American-made craft in a comfortable, professional and accessible setting.

The event will be held in the ground floor of the Armory's drill hall with individual exhibit booths designed to display the variety of media presented. In addition, nearby festival events will include music, demonstrations, and many other family events.
