Action Auto takes softball crown

Action Auto swept to the playoff championship of the Rhode Island Senior Softball League's Division I Sunday, beating McWorld's, 17-13 and 17-12.

The same team captured the regular season championship.

In Division II semifinal action, it was 133 Club emerging victorious after losing the first game to Greystone, 15-11. 133 took the second game, 18-5, and closed it out with a 16-12 win.

In the other semifinal, the Valley Breeze did the same thing, losing the first game to Lucky 13, 17-16, but storming back to win the next two, 18-13 and 16-13 to advance to the championship.

In Division III semifinals, Action Auto 60 swept County Cork Pub, 14-6 and 3-1 to advance to the finals against Tabor Franchi.

The Division IV finals will pit Herb Chambers of Seekonk against Cozy Grille.
