Marilyn H. Heaton - Lincoln

Marilyn H. (Moore) Heaton, 80, of Angell Road died Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at home. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert P. Heaton.

Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late David Moore Jr. and the late Isabel (Niles) Moore, she had lived in Lincoln for most of her life.

Mrs. Heaton was a registered nurse who had worked at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island, Pawtucket and North Providence Emergency Services. She was a 1953 graduate of the New England Deaconess School of Nursing. She also had worked for Speidel for several years.

She enjoyed summering on Indian Rock Farm in Narragansett. She was known for her hand painted stone art, “Stone Whimsy.”

She is survived by two daughters, Pamela Carlson of Folly Beach, S.C., and Lesley Heaton of Lincoln; two sons, Robert P. Heaton Jr. and his wife, Patricia of Universal City, Texas, and Michael M. Heaton and his wife, Nancy of Cumberland; one brother, Wendall Moore of Hyannis, Mass.; six grandchildren, Charles and Dennis Heaton, Michaela Chewar, Erin Elizabeth Jones, and Nicholas and Kyle Rodrigues; three great-grandchildren, Matthew Truesdale, Leah Jones and Robert T. Jones IV; and several nieces and nephews.
