Blackstone library to host annual Halloween party

BLACKSTONE - The 14th annual Nightmares in the Library Halloween Party will be held on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 4 to 6 p.m., at the Blackstone Public Library. Registration for Blackstone residents begins Monday, Sept. 30. Registration for all patrons begins Monday, Oct. 7.

The party, which is strictly for ages 9 and under, will include making some frightfully fun crafts, snacking on some creepy-crawly treats and listening to some scary, and not so scary, stories. "Petrifying" pepperoni and "bone-chilling" cheese pizza will also be served. The event will also include a costume parade and bewitching prizes. At the end of the night, everyone will receive special Halloween treat bags.

On Tuesday, Oct. 29, children are invited to drop in between 5 and 7 p.m. to decorate a mini cupcake with frosting, candy corn, sprinkles and more. No registration is required.
