Fright Night in the Park opens Friday

PAWTUCKET - The Pawtucket Parks & Recreation Division presents "Fright Night in the Park" at Slater Memorial Park. The Halloween festivities take place on Friday and Saturday evenings, and run Oct. 4-Oct. 26, with the exception of inclement weather.

The Haunted Tunnel attraction will take place at the Daggett Farm facility in the park. The tunnel opens at 6:30 and closes by 9 p.m. Early arrival is strongly suggested. Admission to the tunnel is $5. Because of its scary content, the tunnel is recommended for ages 10 and above only.

Adjacent to the Rhode Island Watercolor Society and Looff Carousel is a family-friendly event that will run concurrently with the Haunted Tunnel from 7 to 9 p.m. Halloweenland and The Woods attractions are geared for younger children and consist of imitation jack o'lanterns, a witch's house, a variety of funny face houses, along with some bewitching extras. Admission into Halloweenland is $4 and the Woods is $5 per person.

In addition, the carousel will remain open throughout the month's festivities 6-8 p.m. Crafts and other surprises for the children will take place on various weekend nights during this October event. Candlelit tours will take place at the historic Daggett House from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday nights throughout October.
