Threading Spot opens on Mendon Road

CUMBERLAND - Lincoln resident Saima Naureen has opened Threading Spot at 500 Mendon Road, offering threading services, eyelash extensions and eyebrow tinting.

Naureen, who opened the shop, her first business, on Aug. 20, has worked in threading for 10 years in New York, and the past year at the Providence Place mall.

She said threading, which uses special crossing threads to grab unwanted hair, is more precise than tweezing or waxing, and still takes only five minutes to shape a pair of brows.

The practice is also better for skin, she said, as repeated waxing can weaken the skin around the eyes and cause wrinkles.

Threading Spot, decorated in bright whites and purples, also offers henna tattooing and herbal face massages using sea and avocado oils. Purses and accessories are also available for sale.

Individual threading services range from $8 to $10 each, while eyelash extensions cost $25, and eyebrow tinting costs $15.

Threading Spot is open every day from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., except for Friday, when it is open until 8 p.m., and Sunday when it closes at 3 p.m. Call 401-305-7330 or email for more information.
