Extended hours coming to Pawtucket City Hall

PAWTUCKET - In a move meant to enhance convenience for the public, city officials will offer extended hours on the third Thursday of each month for the remainder of the year for several departments in Pawtucket City Hall, then evaluate how the added service might be extended next year.

“We know it’s not always convenient for everyone to come to City Hall during standard business hours,” said Mayor Donald Grebien. “This trial period will give us a way to gauge public response while offering extended hours during a time of year when people have even less flexible time than usual.”

City Hall will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Oct. 17, Nov. 21, and Dec. 19. The following departments will be open during the extended hours: Board of Canvassers, City Clerk, Collections, Tax Assessor and Zoning.
