Dr. Cordova joins Memorial Hospital staff

PAWTUCKET - Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island appointed Dr. Alfredo C. Córdova, to its medical staff in the Department of Surgery.

Córdova earned his medical degree at Universidad San Martin de Porres, in Lima, Peru. He completed a general surgery residency, and served as chief resident, at Henry Ford Hospital in Michigan. He served as a general surgery resident at Lahey Clinic Medical Center / Tufts University School of Medicine.

He completed a research fellowship in vascular surgery and a general surgery internship at Yale University School of Medicine. Córdova also completed a clinical fellowship in plastics and burn surgery at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and presented at multiple regional, national, and international scientific conferences. He has received multiple teaching and research awards.

Córdova is fluent in Spanish. His areas of clinical interest include endocrine surgery, foregut surgery, hernia repair, endoscopy, and laparoscopy.
