Clipper pride on display at Tucker Field dedication

The past two weeks at CHS have been pretty jam-packed with numerous activities, such as the sophomores and juniors taking the PSATS, the Friday football game when the Clippers conquered Mount Hope while showcasing Tucker Field's new look, and Spirit Week!

Cumberland High football players won 28-12 last Friday and illuminated the field's state-of-the-art turf, and royal blue beauty of a C that instills a little Clipper pride in all of us.

Speaking of Clipper pride, Spirit Week is finally here and the days were coursing with excitement as Monday consisted of "Rock the Decades" day where you dressed up as your favorite rock n' roll decade.

Tuesday we wore orange in unison for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Wednesday was Twin Day where you could dress up like your favorite teacher or friend.

And today and tomorrow consist of Class Color and School Color days.

Overall, the 2014 Spirit Week was a ton of fun and the power of one was a highlighted theme within our rocking week.

Nightly events included the talent show, powder-puff and lip sync. Exciting stuff if you ask me. The one thing everyone should be looking forward to is tonight's Class Clash, the Homecoming game tomorrow night at 7 against the Pilgrim Patriots, and the Homecoming dance, Saturday, from 6 to 10 p.m. Themed "50's/Rock n' Roll," it wraps up this year's Spirit Week altogether. Too bad it only lasts a week.

As far as college planning goes, the last two dates of this year to take the SATs are Nov. 2 and Dec. 7. This Saturday at numerous high schools across the state and Massachusetts are the ACTS, also being one of the last dates before 2013 ends; the second date is Dec. 14. The first quarter of the year is wrapping up soon, and before you know it, Thanksgiving break is going to be here.

Anyway, I hope everyone is having a great week, enjoy this beautiful fall weather, and be safe on Halloween. Have a good one everybody. Go blue!
