Pawtucket men recovering after being shot

PAWTUCKET - Two local men are recovering after being shot outside a West Avenue home on Wednesday, Oct. 30.

At approximately 10:30 p.m., members of the Pawtucket Police Department were called to the area of 306 West Ave. in response to a report of a shooting. The officers arrived and found two male victims who had suffered gunshot wounds.

The victims were identified as Warren Hazard, age 37, and Thomas Hazard, 39, both of Pawtucket. Warren Hazard was shot in the back and Thomas Hazard was shot in the foot. Both victims were transported to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment. The men are expected to make a recovery.

The Hazards told police that they were outside of 306 West Ave. when two unknown males approached on foot and began firing at them. The suspects were wearing dark hooded sweatshirts and dark clothing. No further description was provided. The suspects fled on foot after the shooting.
