Patricia K. Duffy - Scituate

Patricia K. Duffy, 70, died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013. Born in Philippi, W.Va., a daughter of the late "Edward" Mwood and Mildred (Lawson) Corder, she had been a resident of Scituate for 46 years.

Patricia was employed with the state of Rhode Island for 25 years, retiring as a Child Support Agent. She graduated from Katherine Gibbs. She also was a Realtor and had worked for J.W. Riker and Bruce Allen Realtors.

She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church for 46 years and sang in the choir for 30 years. She had a love for music, which she instilled in her children and grandchildren. She loved the outdoors and spending time with family and had a deep faith and loved her church family.

She leaves two children, Megan M. Picozzi (Christopher) of North Scituate and Colin E. Duffy (Jackie) of Warwick; she was preceded in death by a daughter, Katherine. She also leaves three grandchildren, Emma Picozzi, Brandon Duffy and Charlene Duffy. She was the sister of the late James Lawson and Joyce Martin. She leaves her oldest and dearest friend, Beverly LeMay, and cousin, Mary Dugan.

At Patricia’s request, everyone is asked to wear bright colors to celebrate her life Saturday, Nov. 9, at 8:45 a.m. from the TUCKER-QUINN Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Ave., (Route 44) Greenville followed by a service at 10 a.m. in Trinity Episcopal Church, 251 Danielson Pike, North Scituate. Visiting hours will be Friday from 4-7 p.m.
