Secret Ingredient Food Tours stop at a different restaurant each week

PAWTUCKET - The Blackstone Valley Tourism Council continues its Secret Ingredient Food Tours this fall with venues featuring weekly "behind the scenes" public participation events at restaurants and food establishments in the Blackstone Valley.

Visit a new restaurant every week and learn the "secret ingredient" that makes each place unique, and sample the wide variety of ethnic foods and cultural cuisine of the region through live demonstrations and meals.

The events are held on Wednesdays at 6 p.m., and the cost is $19.50 per person plus tax and gratuity. Reserve online at www.blackstoneculinaria.com or call 401-724-2200.

Here's the upcoming schedule:

Nov. 20: Taco Mix, 723 Broad St., Central Falls. A cooking demonstration and meal of a few of the chef's favorite Mexican dishes featuring fresh local ingredients.

Dec. 4: The Pillsbury House, 341 Prospect St., Woonsocket. Enjoy festive holiday appetizers and drinks followed by a tour of this elegant Victorian bed and breakfast.

Dec. 11: Le Moulin Artisan Village, 68 So. Main St., Woonsocket. Chef Margo of Creative Combinations will use marinara, pesto, and Alfredo sauces featured in a meal with assorted herbs, spices, chicken and beef.

Dec. 18: Murphy's Law, 2 George St., Pawtucket. Learn how to make your own favorite holiday drinks, and enjoy an array of appetizers.
