Kyrie Road Band to perform in Music at the Meeting House Sunday

GLOCESTER - The Kyrie Road Band, from Wickford, will present a program of old-time hymns, current American songs, gospel music, Beatles music, and patriotic songs, all performed in a contemporary mode, on Sunday, Nov. 17, at 2:30 p.m. as part of the Music at the Meeting House fall series.

The concert will take place at the Chepachet Meeting House, home to the Chepachet Baptist Church, located at 1213 Putnam Pike, on Route 44.

The Kyrie Road Band has been bringing both contemporary and inspirational music to many parts of the state for several years. This will be their Chepachet debut.

The band features piano, guitar, flute, drums, and vocalists. Songs will range from special versions of "Amazing Grace" to Beatles' songs like "Let it Be" and "Hey Jude!"

The concert is open to the public, and there is no charge for admission. A free will offering will be taken as a token of appreciation for the performers. Refreshments will be served in the church vestry after the concert and there will be an opportunity to meet the group.
