Cumberland Democrats host statewide candidates tonight

CUMBERLAND - Tonight, Nov. 21, the Cumberland Democrat Town Committee is holding the first of its "2014 Primary Series," a series of open meetings with state and local candidates for office.

Scheduled to be on hand tonight are: Providence Mayor Angel Taveras, candidate for governor; Cumberland Mayor Daniel McKee, candidate for lieutenant governor; Frank Caprio, candidate for treasurer and Guillaume de Ramel, candidate for secretary of state.

Some local officials will also be speaking, including Cumberland mayoral candidate Bill Murray, says Bruce Lemois, chairman.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Cumberland Public Library.

All residents are welcome and questions allowed as time permits.
