Join the Chamber of Commerce 'Cash Mob'

LINCOLN - The Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce and Blackstone Valley Independent Business Alliance, announce their next Cash Mob on Tuesday, Dec. 3.

The gathering location will be in the Walnut Hill Plaza on Diamond Hill Road in Woonsocket in front of the former Shaw's market. The two mystery businesses to be mobbed will be announced promptly at 6:15 p.m.; mobbers should plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the announcement of the mystery locations to be mobbed.

The Cash Mob concept is to gather a large group of people who agree to spend $20 each at each venue. The larger the crowd, the larger the impact on the local economy. The mob descends on the selected businesses and consumers make purchases of their choosing. According to John Gregory, president and chief executive officer of the NRI Chamber, "This is a great way to do our part to help stimulate the local economy."

For information on how to be selected for a cash mob, call the Chamber at 401-334-1000, ext. 106, or Jeanne Budnick of Pepin Lumber at 401-769-8128.
