Charlene and David Densmore, of 604 Blackstone St. in Woonsocket, were named the winners of the 2013 Valley Breeze "Spirit of Christmas" home decorating contest last week.

The Densmores, with their numerous handcrafted wooden holiday displays and lights set to music, easily won both the creativity and difficulty categories, also performing very well in the third and important "Christmas Spirit" category. The winners received a family four-pack to see "A Christmas Carol" at Trinity Repertory Company.

Taking second place overall was Phil Silva, of 7 Sneech Pond Road in Cumberland, with a giant lighted "Merry Christmas" and an impressive lighted manger display, complete with the star that guided the wise men. Silva won $50 to the Asia Grille in Lincoln.

Coming in third overall was John Wozniak, of 194 Farm St. in Blackstone, with an over-the-top front yard display of lights and figurines. Wozniak won a family four-pack to "Disney on Ice: Passport to Adventure."
