Teto: End of vacation means hectic new year at NPHS

Everyone counts down the days of vacation for different reasons. Some do it because they can't wait to get back to school. Others do it each day dreading the next and wishing vacation was longer. Before anyone can even blink, vacation time is over and school starts up again. Everyone falls back into a routine of going from class to class.

The new year at school means midterm exams are right around the corner. Juniors especially are bombarded with signing up to take SATs and science NECAPs in the spring. I myself am looking forward to after midterms when I can relax again and cruise through the year calm and learning.

By this time in the school year, students have bonded and become comfortable with their teachers and classmates, which makes for enjoyable classes.

This new year will give opportunity to clubs and organizations that have found their footing to host school events. The year so far has gone much faster than I anticipated, with 2013 already gone and 2014 here. Maybe 2014 will take its time and the rest of the year won't fly by as quickly.
