DePina pleads not guilty

PROVIDENCE - Jorge DePina, the Pawtucket man accused of murdering his 10-year-old daughter Aleida last July, pleaded not guilty in Providence Superior Court on Thursday.

DePina, 33, will continue to be held without bail. His next scheduled court date is April 21 for a pre-trial conference, according to the Office of the Attorney General. State prosecutors have 20 days to determine whether they'll seek life in prison without the possibility of parole.
