PAWTUCKET - Maria Cotto, the bilingual children's librarian at the Pawtucket Public Library, has been chosen to serve on the 2015 Belpr?© Award Selection Committee. Each year the committee selects a children's book published in the United States or Puerto Rico that recognizes outstanding original works written or illustrated by a Latino/Latina author or illustrator that portrays, affirms and celebrates the Latino/Latina cultural experience.

The Belpr?© Award Selection Committee consists of seven members, three appointed by the Association for Library Service to Children, an at-large member, and three members appointed by the U.S. National Association to Promote Library and Information Services to Latinos and the Spanish-speaking communities.
