Library announces winter programs for children

NORTH PROVIDENCE - Registration is now open for winter children's programs at the North Providence Union Free Library, located at 1810 Mineral Spring Ave.

* Baby & Me, for babies age zero to 23 months, is a 20-minute program filled with simple stories, nursery rhymes, music, knee bounces, tickles and fingerplays. The program is held Fridays at 10:30 a.m., starting Jan. 14 and running for eight weeks.

* ToddlerTimes 2, for 2-year olds, is a 30-minute program featuring stories, rhymes, fingerplays and music. The program is held Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m., starting this past Tuesday and running for another seven weeks.

* ToddlerTimes 3, for 3-year olds, is a 30-minute program featuring stories, rhymes, fingerplays and music. The program is held Tuesdays at 11:30 a.m., beginning this past Tuesday and running for another eight weeks.

* Preschool Story Time, for 4 and 5-year-olds, is an hour-long program that entertains and educates with stories and a craft. The program is held Wednesdays at 11 a.m., starting Jan. 22 and running for eight weeks.

* Baby Signing Time, for ages 6 months to 3 years, will start at 11 a.m. this Thursday, Jan. 23, and run for eight weeks.

* Book Buddies Book Club, for children in grades K-3, is a book discussion group that meets on alternating Tuesdays at 3:30 p.m. The winter session begins on Jan. 28.

* Lego Club, for ages 4 and older, is held on Saturdays, Jan. 25, Feb. 22, March 8, and March 22, all at 1 p.m.
