Jury indicts accused parent killer Yu

The Providence County Grand Jury indicted Mark Yu, a 36-year-old North Providence resident, on two counts of murder and two counts of failure to report a death for allegedly bludgeoning his parents to death last July.

Yu, who lived with his parents at 10 Noto Drive, is accused of killing Young Yu and Yeon Yu around July 12, 2013 and then failing to report the deaths to authorities, leaving the bodies in the home.

The North Providence Police Department conducted the investigation. Yu is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on Feb. 5, according to a news release.

N. Providence men indicted for robbery

The Providence County Grand Jury indicted North Providence residents Fabio Saches-DeAlmeida and Alexander Correia each on charges of first-degree robbery, conspiracy, and vandalism. Saches-DeAlmeida, 21, lives at 39 Cleveland St., while Correia, 23, lives at 29 Gillen Ave.

Police say Saches-DeAlmeida and Correia conspired and robbed someone in Pawtucket last Sept. 16. They then allegedly vandalized the car of the victim. Pawtucket Police investigated. Saches-DeAlmeida and Correia are scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on Feb. 5.
