Author of First Universalist Church history article corrects misnomer

I read in last week's edition of The Valley Breeze that the Rev. St-Godard was giving a Ranger Talk about the history of various churches in Woonsocket on Sunday, Jan. 26. While reading the article, one paragraph stood out from the rest.

It stated that Father St-Godard wrote an article on the First Universalist of Woonsocket when we closed. I would like to state for the record that he did not write this article. It was given to him by the same person who gave him the altar cross an candlesticks, and was to be used as background information only.

He took the article, in its entirety, and printed it as his own, without any mention or credit given to the author. I took great offense to this at the time, but was asked to just let it go.

Father St-Godard, at least acknowledge me as the author of the article. It certainly was no "War and Peace," but it was my work, not yours.
