Pawtucket Library a voting station for Book Award 2014

PAWTUCKET - Pawtucket Public Library users in grades 3-6 can now vote with other students across Rhode Island to determine which book wins the Rhode Island Children's Book Award 2014. The list of book nominees are available on the Pawtucket library's Pinterest page.

The voting ballots and the ballot box display are located at the library, at 13 Summer St.

Students must read three or more of the 20 nominees, and each student gets one vote on the book they like best. Statewide ballots will be counted and a winner declared, according to a news release.

Last year the book that Pawtucket library voters chose was "Sidekicks," which ended up winning the state and the RICBA medal.

Children may also email their favorite book to childrens@pawtucketlibrary.org. March 6 is the deadline for voting.
