Victoria B. Skoczylas - Cumberland

Victoria B. (Stowik) Skoczylas, 83, of Woodland Street, died Friday, Feb. 14 peacefully with her family by her side at Cortland Place, Smithfield.

She was the wife of the late Edward V. Skoczylas. Born in Cumberland, a daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (Maslon) Stowik, she had been a lifelong resident of the town.

Mrs. Skoczylas worked as a secretary at National Grid before retiring. She had also worked many years with her husband Edward, who was co-owner of Central Falls Provision Co.

She is survived by one daughter, Catherine Winslow and her husband Peter of Lincoln; one brother, Stanley Stowik of Cumberland; two grandchildren, Jennifer Winslow and Scott Winslow, both of Lincoln; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late John Stowik.

Her funeral was held Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 9 a.m. from BELLOWS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 160 River Road, Lincoln, with the celebration of a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Saint Jude Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln. Burial was in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends were invited to call Monday from 4 - 8 p.m.
