GLOCESTER - "Winter Waterfowl of R.I.," a 30-minute film about ducks and other waterfowl that reside in Rhode Island during the winter season, debuts on Cable Public Access TV Channel this month. Filmed at numerous ocean locations and fresh and saltwater ponds throughout the state, this film documents the appearance, habitat, eating habits and behavior of 18 species of ducks and other waterfowl common to our winter waters.

The film first aired statewide on Feb. 18 and will be repeated on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 9 p.m. on Cox channel 13 and Verizon channel 32.

The film was created by nature enthusiasts and first-time filmmakers Bill Carpenter and Emily Westcott, of Chepachet, with music by pianist Mark Taber. It was made possible with equipment and instruction from PEG, R.I.'s local public cable access affiliate.
