Carol Ouellette - Cumberland

Carol Ouellette, 67, of Cumberland, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 18 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Raymond Ouellette, and they had been married for 48 years.

Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late George and Carmela (Azzolina) Shakan. She resided in Cumberland since 1967. She also resided in Zephyrhills, Fla., during the winter months for many years.

She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church, Mendon Road, Cumberland. Mrs. Ouellette was a hairdresser for more than 35 years. She also was employed by TJ Maxx and Filenes Basement.

Carol loved to go camping, loved to travel, but most of all loved to spend time with her family especially with her cherished grandchildren.

Besides her loving husband, she leaves her four daughters, Karen Balcom and her husband Joseph of Smithfield, Tracie Pellerin and her husband Kevin of Douglas, Mass., Nicole Becker and her husband David of Cumberland and Kerri Catalano and her husband Samuel of Latham, N.Y.; as well as the Mamma to nine grandchildren, Nathan, Rachel and Jessica Balcom, James and Sean Pellerin, Abigail, Drew and Dylan Becker and Lucy Catalano.

A celebration of her life will be held Saturday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. at St. Joseph Church, Mendon Road, Cumberland. Committal Prayers to follow at the Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting Hours will be held Saturday from 8:30 to 10 A.M. at J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland.
