Cumberland photographer featured in BankRI exhibit

Photographer Bob Dansereau, of Cumberland, will have his work on display at the BankRI Pitman Street Gallery April 3-30. The exhibit will feature street photography like this photo called "Street Art."

PROVIDENCE - Cumberland resident Bob Dansereau will have his photographs displayed at the BankRI Pitman Street Gallery, 137 Pitman St., from Thursday, April 3, through Wednesday, April 30.

"Photographs by Bob Dansereau" will be available for viewing Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.

Dansereau, who grew up in Lincoln, is a member of the Photographic Society of Rhode Island, according to a press release. After a lifelong love of photography, he decided to pursue it seriously two years ago.

He has won several awards, including 4th place in the Yankee Magazine My New England 2013 photography contest for a photograph of the Sakonnet Point lighthouse.

The exhibit features Dansereau's street photographs, such as "Street Art," a photograph of a chalk painting in downtown Providence.
