Fight at Cumberland club leads to arrests

CUMBERLAND - A fight that broke out at the Clube Juventude Lusitana on Chase Street at 12:30 a.m. Sunday sent a number of people to the hospital, according to published reports.

The Providence Journal reported that two people were arrested for the misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct following the fight that broke out during a private event at the Portuguese social club. Their names have not been released.

Cumberland Police Chief John Desmarais was could not be reached to comment by press time.
