Smithfield's Curran accepted to 'Back to Bipartisanship' program

WASHINGTON - Aubrey Curran, of Smithfield, has been accepted as a Scholar with the Partnership for a Secure America's Back to Bipartisanship program.

Back to Bipartisanship is a foreign policy and national security collegiate scholar program for undergraduate students interning on Capitol Hill or enrolled in Washington, D.C., metro area universities. Curran is a senior at the George Washington University.

The selected participants have collectively created and led workshops, events and clubs in their respective universities and communities; organized church delegations on mission trips abroad; held internships in their communities and in Washington, D.C., have traveled to six continents and speak nine languages.

The selected students will be mentored by veteran Congressional staff, engage in bipartisan roundtable discussions with former Ambassadors and officials, learn marketable, professional skills from foreign policy professionals and graduate level professors.
