Helen F. Caouette - Smithfield

Helen F. (Kane) Caouette, 93, passed away Friday, April 4, 2014. She was the wife of the late Edgar J. Caouette.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Frank M. and Helen (Hughes) Kane. Helen was the library secretary at Smithfield High School for 35 years before retiring in 1994, and has been a resident of Smithfield since 1932.

She was the loving mother of Mary F. Caouette of Greenville and Edward J. Caouette and his wife Maryann Dougherty of Glocester. She was the sister of Catherine Brown, Patricia Papineau, Walter and John Kane and the late William, Francis and Edward Kane. She also leaves four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; family friend, Tom Thibodeau; and her beloved Cody.

Her funeral will be held Monday, April 7, 2014, at 8:30 a.m. from the TUCKER-QUINN Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Ave. (Rt.44) Greenville, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Ave., Greenville. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation is Sunday from 4-6 p.m.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Heritage Hill Nursing Center for all their support and compassion shown to Helen during her time there.
