PAWTUCKET - Representatives for the Shea Fashion Show Committee & PushMode Fashion say they'll present the most anticipated event of the school year with the school's annual fashion show this Thursday, May 1.

The "Essence of Elements" fashion show "showcases fashion, beauty, and talent, promising an evening of entertainment," according to organizers. Those who come early will have the chance to shop the vendor showcase before the show. Doors of the Shea auditorium open at 5:30 p.m. and the show begins promptly at 6:30 p.m. It should be done by about 9:30 p.m., with an intermission included.

This will be the last Shea fashion show put on by Will Lopera, the show's founder and a former student at Shea.

Lopera said Shea's fashion show is "truly a showcase" of the creative work of alumni and current students of Shea High School, who don't have many other outlets for this kind of work. About 45 to 50 models will participate in the show.

Lopera said the "Essence of Elements" name was born from the idea of getting back to the basics of modeling and fashion.

Tickets to Thursday's show are $5 in school, $10 at the door, or $7 with school ID.
