Dora Shippee - Foster

Dora (Bibeault) Shippee, 99, passed away at home, Wednesday, May 14, 2014. She was the wife of the late Frank T. Shippee.

Dora was born in Pascoag, a daughter of the late Adelard and Anna (LaRose) Bibeault. She lived in Smithfield since 1933 before moving to Foster in 2012.

She was a spinner at the former Stillwater Worsted Mill in Greenville for many years before it closed and also was a waitress at the former Moosehead Diner in Johnston for 20 years.

She participated in the Scituate Art Festival since it’s beginning and was a member of the former Hearthside Bowling League and the Smithfield Senior Center. She was a past president of the Greenville Fire Dept. Auxiliary and past president of the Esmond Village Tenants Association.

She is survived by three daughters, Florence A. Aldrich of Glocester, Evelyn R. Klockowski of Greenville and Nancy L. Robinson of Foster with whom she lived; and one son, Frank T. Shippee Jr. of Shapleigh, Maine. She was the grandmother of eight, great-grandmother of 12, and great-great-grandmother of six.

Her visitation and funeral will held Monday, May 19, 2014 at 10 A.M. in the TUCKER-QUINN Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Ave. (Rt. 44) Greenville, with a service to follow at 11 A.M. Burial will be private.
