Riverzedge summer program still looking for participants

WOONSOCKET - There are still spots available in the Riverzedge Arts' Summer Bridge Program.

This program lasts for six weeks and focuses on art and design for incoming ninth graders and any other high school students interested. The goal of the program is to engage students in high quality and relevant art and design work while giving them access to the high school in order for them to get to know and feel comfortable in and around the building before they start their freshman year.

This summer, the group will be working to re-design the front entrance to the high school through a landscape architecture and design project.

Riverzedge also collaborates with the Expanded Learning Opportunities program at Woonsocket High School to offer participants the opportunity to gain a high school credit for their work with Summer Bridge.

Summer Bridge meets Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon beginning on Monday, July 7. It will run through Thursday, Aug. 14. For more information or to sign up, call Riverzedge Arts at 401-767-2100 or email Brad at brad@riverzedgearts.org.
