Warren Palmer Greene - Woonsocket

Warren Palmer Greene, 93, of Woonsocket, died Sunday June 29, 2014, in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket.

Born in Franklin, Mass., he was the son of the late Palmer Newell and Elizabeth (Richards) Greene. He was the brother of the late Adelaide Greene and Dorothea (Gauvin) Greene.

He was employed by Whiten Machine Works and the Jamesbury Company before retiring in 1991.

He was a founding member of the Blackstone Valley Amateur Radio Club, which he enjoyed immensely. He would talk with people all over the world using his call letters, W1DOR.

He is survived by his nephews, Richard Gauvin and his wife Barbara of Groveland, Mass., Ronald Gauvin and his wife Marcia of Coventry, Warren Gauvin and his wife Joyce of North Providence, George Gauvin and his wife Darlene of North Smithfield, and Dennis Gauvin, Robert Gauvin and Lee Darling, all of Woonsocket; as well as his loving dog, Benjamin. He also leaves behind many great nieces and nephews.
