Woonsocket woman indicted for arson

WOONSOCKET – A city woman accused of setting fire to her boyfriend's home after discovering he was cheating on her had been indicted on one count of first degree arson by a Providence County grand jury.

Corrine Latraverse, 30, of 26 Monty Ave. is accused of setting fire to the home she shared with her boyfriend and their three children on March 15.

According to Woonsocket police who conducted the investigation, Latraverse poured gasoline in an hallway of the home while the boyfriend was at work and her children were outside. She suffered slight burns from starting the blaze and two firefighters were injured while trying to put it out. One cat died in the fire.

Latraverse is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on July 23.
