Greenman named director of community investment

PAWTUCKET - United Way of Rhode Island has announced the appointment of Pawtucket resident Adam Greenman as director of community investment. Previously, Greenman spent five years with the Rhode Island Afterschool Plus Alliance, an education initiative of the United Way of Rhode Island, serving as its executive director for the past four years.

In his new role, Greenman will be responsible for leading the community investment and public policy work of UWRI. With years of experience across the spectrums of education and government relations, he will also focus on developing and overseeing a portfolio of public policy items.

"We are extremely pleased to welcome Adam to our senior management team, where his experience and vast knowledge will be instrumental in advancing our work, particularly in the area of education," said Anthony Maione, president and CEO of UWRI.

An avid long-distance runner and woodworker, Greenman holds a bachelor's degree in political communication from George Washington University and a master's in public administration from Rutgers University. He recently received his doctorate in education from Northeastern University in Boston, where he focused on curriculum leadership, urban education policy, and transforming educational systems. He serves on the board of directors of the Providence After School Alliance.
