Kettle voices concerns about condition of Route 6

SCITUATE - In a press release last week, Sen. Nicholas D. Kettle, a Republican serving District 21 in Coventry, Foster, Scituate, and West Greenwich, said that the condition of Route 6 in Scituate has "deteriorated so greatly" that he is "stepping up (his) efforts to have the Department of Transportation fix the road.

"There is a cement road that is in serious need of repair," he continued. "I have heard from many constituents and seen myself that the potholes and general condition of the road present a safety concern."

Kettle said that he has met with DOT to discuss Route 6. He added that he has scheduled another meeting where he will "stress the urgent need for repairs."

He continued, "Route 6 desperately needs safety improvements, and it is one of my top priorities that the needs of the road and its drivers be addressed."
